The Climate Reality Project hosts an annual event called 24 Hours of Reality, a 24-hour live broadcast about the climate crisis and its solutions with a one-hour segment in every time zone. Climate Reality Leaders personally trained by the former US Vice President and Noble Laureate Al Gore will lead conversations and presentations in the country and nations across the World.

In Chandigarh, Association of Professional Social Workers and Development Practitioners (APSWDP has a fleet and strength of 09 young motivated trained climate reality leaders who will take over this 24 Hours of Reality campaign. This year the theme is ‘Countdown to the Future’. Each broadcast features celebrities, musicians, elected officials, and thought leaders from around the world. In 2017, the broadcast had a potential reach of 400 million people.

APSWDP is a non-profit professional association of development practitioners and professional social workers engaged in social development domain; which has been conferred special consultative status under the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC) and has also been affiliated with the United Nations Department of Global Communications (UN DGC).

This year, APSWDP has conceived a Virtual Chandigarh Climate Meet 2020 coinciding 24 Hrs of Reality on 11th October 2020 (SUNDAY) at 11.00 AM (IST) under the aegis of The Climate Reality Project-India.
